Winter Florals

Happy NYE! I can’t believe 2017 has come and gone so quickly. There were some ups and downs but all in all it was a pretty good year filled with some great adventures: a trip to Vancouver, a wonderful day trip to Ojai, a road trip to Arizona, my first solo trip to Quebec City, and a visit back to my very first hometown (more on that soon) just to name a few. I’m hoping for many more adventures in 2018 and am excited for the changes that this year will bring.

Once the holidays are over and January rolls around I’m pretty much ready for winter to be over (even though winter in SoCal sometimes doesn’t even begin until January, if at all). We had some pretty chilly weeks in December but were lucky enough to have warm, sunny weather this past week that made me excited for summer days! Since it was so nice out, I jumped at the chance to throw on this floral midi dress by Bardot. I love all the feminine details like the ruffled sleeve, the slit on the leg, and the tied waist that makes this dress super flattering. Since it’s a darker floral print it’s works any time of year. If it’s still a little chilly out, you can pair it with a faux leather jacket like this faux shearling lined one, this moto style one, or this tan one. This similar long sleeve dress is also a great option for colder days and it’s on sale for under $60! I also love this and this for even more affordable options.

I wore this dress with an old pair of Forever 21 ankle boots but there are some similar styles here, here, and here. I’m also really loving these studded ankle boots! I recently bought these round Ray-Bans and they’re my new favorite!
