Blue and White Striped

How was everyone’s Easter? Mine was super relaxing. Alan and I spent the morning wandering around Long Beach and found some pretty cool spots hidden in the alleyways to take some photos. The weather was perfect! The sun was out and was warm on our skin, but there was a cool breeze to keep it from being hot. Later we went for a run on the beach and then went to Whole Foods for a light lunch. If I’m not at home or at work you can probably find me at Whole Foods because it’s basically my favorite place. Later I made a cute little Easter dinner and we watched the new Louis C.K. special on Netflix, which was hilarious (as long as you don’t mind slightly offensive humor).

I found this striped Madewell top at Buffalo Exchange (similar here and here. Also love this!) and loved the oversized but still structured fit of it. I liked the idea of pairing it with all black even though it felt a little like I was dressing for fall. (I don’t think fashion really needs to have rules though). I’m wearing it with Levi’s 711 ankle skinnies (available in multiple colors). I love the fit of these and they’re comfy too! If you’re short like me (I’m 5’2″) these actually hit right where a regular jean would but you can roll them to make them ankle length. I bought a pair in white too because I love them so much!

My slip-on loafers are from H&M (black is unavailable online but you can get gold or brown here or similar in black here for just $15). My backpack is from Target and I’ve had it for years now. I’ve used it so many times that it’s starting to fall apart at this point, so I’ve been looking for a replacement. I really like this one, this one, and this one. Rings are old Forever 21 but this is basically the same exact thing, or there’s this set that includes one like mine plus some other dainty ones.
