It’s almost fourth of July weekend! It really feels like the year just began, so the fact that it’s almost July is kind of mind blowing. It’s definitely time to start bringing out the summer pieces, like this bright orange-y red button up top by Equipment. I don’t normally wear much orange or red but I absolutely love the firey color of this top; plus the silky texture adds a bit of shine. It’s the perfect bright pop of color for summer, but you could also wear it throughout fall.
My shorts are Levi’s “wedgie fit” shorts and I’m obsessed with them. I needed a new pair of shorts for summer and these ones are the perfect fit. They’re high wasted and fit snug, hugging your body in all the right places! They’re also available in white, light denim, and grey.
I also don’t normally wear hats unless I’m going to the beach and need extra sun protection, but I felt like this outfit could really use a good summer hat to tie it all together. This hat by August Hat Co. kinda gave me cowgirl vibes, but I decided to just embrace it! I couldn’t find the exact one I’m wearing online, but this one is almost identical and is less expensive. Win win!
I love simple summer outfits like this because they’re so versatile. Wear it with a hat, or without, or with a pretty head wrap. You can also mix it up in the shoe department and wear it with ankle boots, sandals, or sneakers (I’ve linked a ton of options at the end of this post). For fourth of July I might just throw on this outfit with some white sneakers (my favorites are Converse high tops and these Superga espadrilles that are currently on sale), for a complete red, white, and blue look.
