Hello and happy September! I cannot believe it's already September! I still feel like 2017 is just getting started when really it's almost over. Whenever September rolls around I start to get pretty excited for fall: colder weather, sweaters and boots, pumpkin flavored everything. Unfortunately a major heat wave is passing through California at the moment (hello 95 degree weather) so I'll have to hold off on fall shenanigans for now. Well hello, hello! It feels like I'm back from the dead because it's been so long since I've done a post. My day job involves working with costume designers and wardrobe stylists who shop for TV, so this tends to be a really busy time of year as all my clients are getting ready for fall TV season. I'm usually pretty exhausted by the end of the work day, which is why I've been so MIA. I was also out of town this past weekend visiting my brother and sister in Monterey (more on that later). Hey Sunshine

Hey Sunshine, it's the weekend and I've got a colorful outfit to share! I'm wearing this Anine Bing "hey sunshine" shirt and these Stella McCartney rainbow heart jeans. The tee shirt is so comfy and I just love the happy yellow of the wording.  And how amazing are the jeans with the rainbow colored hearts sprinkled around like confetti?! Side note: I also love these Stella McCartney jeans with heart shaped knee patches. When I was in school for fashion I designed a pair of workout leggings with heart shaped knee patches and later started seeing lots of pants around with a very similar design. Oh hey ya'll! I'm going to keep this short and sweet because I'm short on time! Which is also why I've been a little MIA lately. Anyway, I wanted to share these cutoff shorts by 7 for all Mankind (unavailable but I linked lots of similar ones below like this $26 pair from Old Navy) and this frayed off-the-shoulder top by Blank NYC. I love the look of the all-over fringe, the crisp white of the shirt, and the sweet floral embroidery on the shorts. Summer Ruffles and Floral

Hi guys! Happy Monday! Did everyone have a good weekend? Mine was both productive and relaxing. I volunteered at a local animal shelter on Saturday and cuddled with a lot of kittens. I would highly recommend signing up to volunteer at your local shelter if you're looking for a way to give back to your community. Spending time with animals is such a stress relief and it feels great knowing you made a difference in their lives by giving them some love. I also watched some movies, tried the new non-dairy Haagen-Dazs (it's amazing!), started a summer read that's been on my shelf for awhile, and did a lot of food prepping for the fruit and veggie cleanse I'm doing this week; wish me luck! ... read more
